Matilda Jane Clothing and a giveaway

I didn't get to write about it yet but after our trip to Richmond, we quickly took a trip to Boston. It's so hard to visit. We try to squeeze in seeing all our friends and favorite places. It's even harder to leave. I miss the silliest things...like the library, the coffee shop and even the mall. The worst is not being as close to the ocean. Our last 2 apartments, before moving, the ocean was walkable. 

Dave had work to do during the day. Elinor and I headed to the beach. I didn't care what the weather was going to be but it ended up being a nice day. Elinor found friends as soon as we got there. They sang let it go and searched for shells. After her friends left, we climbed on rocks and she pretended to be Ariel (pushing herself up on the flat side of the rock singing part of your world). I so badly wanted to get a video of it but I didn't want to back away while she was climbing.  

 Before leaving for Boston, Elinor got a special package from Matilda Jane Clothing. She was so excited and wanted to wear it right away. I think she favors her Matilda Jane outfits we already have and she knew what it was. We held her off until the next day. I'm so jealous every time I dress her in these super soft outfits. I need to check out some of the clothes for the mamas.

 She had a huge full day and fell asleep in her clothes. The next morning when I tried to change her outfit there was a major meltdown. She wanted her "heart tutu pants" on. She wore them that day and the again to bed since we were driving home. I finally had to sneak them off of her to wash.

Elinor is wearing cloudy puffer tee, love bug knot top and sweetheart ruffled leggings. All are part of Matilda Jane's Wonderful Parade Collection.

Matilda Jane Clothing (giveaway ended) and Christmas Pictures

We are such big fans of Matilda Jane Clothing. They sent us a some new pieces from their Paint By Color collection. Elinor loves any dress and rarely can we get her to wear pants. The Turtledove Knot Top is adorable. She kept twirling in it calling it her new tutu. The Gallery Leggings and Stippling Tee are both so soft and perfect for layering. 

We decided to take out Christmas pictures with Elinor in this outfit. It wouldn't be stiff like a big fancy dress but it is just as pretty. We went to Longwood Garden to take some pictures inside the conservatory. We thought it was such a great idea. We would be indoors and would be able to have a pretty background without having Elinor wear her coat. Well, she had different plans. She just wanted to run and play. Once we gave up on trying to take a picture we had a lot of fun. A tip for members, stroller rentals are free and they even give you a fleece blanket for your little to cuddle with!

The next day we tried for a Christmas photo just at home under our tree like we have done in the past. It worked a lot better but still could've been better. I think when working with a 2 yr old you can't have your expectations too high. And yes, Elinor wore the same outfit the next day...and the day after. She likes it that much. No arguing with her when she knows what she wants and it is a really cute outfit.

Matilda Jane Clothing

When Matilda Jane Clothing contacted me about reviewing thier paint by numbers collection, I was so excited. I love their clothes but have never seen any in person. I couldn't wait to see if it is as cute in person. 

 And they are! Elinor is very picky about what she will wear already. When I showed her the dress and asked if she wanted to try it on (expecting a fight) she yelled "yes!". I usually only get that response for a yo gabba gabba shirt.

On this day we played in our yard while she ran around like a wild thing. She was able to climb, run, jump and roll and still look like a sweet well dressed baby. The colors are so bright and pretty and the fabric is soft and stretchy. I can't wait to pair this dress with a collared long sleeve underneath or the pants with a cute top. There are so many options!
