Hollywood Studios

For some reason I forget we went to Hollywood Studios. It isn't too big but we managed staying there all day. Also there isn't a parade! I had seen pictures of all the Disney Jr guys in a parade and I was excited for Elinor to see. We did a quick google search while we were there and found that they stopped doing the parades a few months ago. Bummer!
We also read that as soon as you get there run to the Toy Story ride for a fastpass. We walked there pretty quickly right as the park opened and our fastpass was for 4pm! The whole day the wait time for the that ride was over 60 min. We tried out the Muppet movie first which Elinor did not like. She was still getting over seeing the Bugs Life movie from the day before.
Elinor hung out with Mamoo and Papa (my parents) while Dave and I went on the Star Wars ride and then the Great Movie Ride which was cute. The Star Wars ride was fun but apparently both us can not handle any kind of fast movement because we both felt so sick after. We watched the young jedi training that looked super cute. Elinor really liked Darth Vader.
She liked the Indiana Jones stunt show too. I was surprised. The nice lady next to me warned that it is loud and might be too scary for her.

The Disney Jr live on stage was the best part. It was so cute and they worked all the hit shows in, which are some of Elinor's favorite. She sat so good for the whole thing and got so excited when each character puppet popped up.
outside of the Disney jr live stage you could meet Jake and Sophia. The line for Sophia was really long.

Right after seeing the show we headed to meet more characters. At the Magic of Disney Animation there were multiple ones to meet. I don't know if it's the same everyday or if they switch them up but we got to meet The Incredibles, Mickey and Minnie. Wreck it Ralph was there too but she doesn't know him yet. The wait wasn't too bad for any of them. I figured when we walked in it would be crazy but the longest we waited was for Mickey for about 20 min. Elinor did the same thing as the day before, screaming their names, pointing, asking for Ellie's turn until it was our turn and she would shut down. We did get her to go to Minnie by herself though! It was so sweet.
The lines for Buzz and Woody though...whoa! We came back 3 times waiting for a shorter line. Each time Elinor would look in the window and freak out yelling "Buzz Woody" and waving. One time they saw her and kept waving back. After the last time of us checking the worker told us to just wait by the back door for minute. He held the line up and let us go next! When we walked in Buzz and Woody were facing the wall hiding their eyes. They jumped around and were probably expecting Elinor to be so excited but instead she clung to me more and said "ALL GO!" She warmed up a little to give them high fives. After seeing the rest of the park and before it closed we went by to see them one more time. No one was in line and they remembered her. They tried so hard to connect with her but she was too nervous. As soon as we walked out every time she would yell "yay! I did it!". She remembers still and tells us that they kissed her and played with her Jessie doll.
First time meeting them
This guys was just hanging out next to them. Elinor had no problem holding his hand and talking to him. You would think she would be scared since his face is covered.
second time meeting them didn't go much better. They tried so hard
sleepy Elinor coming back on the tram

Hollywood Studios was a lot of fun and we will go back next time. Elinor got to see all of her favorites. I like that they changed how meeting characters go and have them out all day now. Sometimes they will take a 2 minute break but come right back out. Even last year we head to wait for so long to meet Minnie and this time there was one person in front of us.

Photopass ones..

    1. I would rather bring our ergo than the stroller any day! The only reason we ever bring our stroller is to stash our bags in it

  3. So fun! I love Hollywood Studios. The last time we were there, we could NOT get our kids off the Toy Story ride! And I finally went on Tower of Terror, with my daughter, who was terrified! (But she loves scary rides).

    1. Thank you! I didn't even think of going there last time. It was a lot of fun. I read that if it's a rainy day go to Hollywood Studios since most of it is indoors.

  8. I really liked hollywood studios! I went on the tower of terror like 10 times, but the star wars ride made me so motion sick. Those simulated rides made me sick every time I went on one. I was the spy though when we went on it haha.
