weekend trip

We took a last minute weekend trip to Boston for Henri's birthday. I still haven't wrote about our trip last month for Dorie's birthday. I miss them so much and whenever I start going through the pictures I get so sad. Leaving a your nanny family is so hard!

We also decided to take out annual family pictures at Crane Beach while we were there. It was where we took our maternity pictures and last October we took updates ones. I haven't taken the pictures off the camera yet but I can't wait to go through them!

We stayed with friends while we were in town and met up with a few other friends. It is hard to fit in everything we want to do while there. It doesn't help that we always decide last minute to go.

We stopped at the outlets on the way for Dave to shop and Elinor to get out some energy. There is a playground there and a Disney store. She was ready to rest when we got back in the car.

and a visit to Diamonds and Rust. So many cool things in there. Elinor was excited she was allowed to go behind the counter. She always tries to at every store

 Tre has chickens! She was nervous about them at first but liked feeding them.

family haircut

The other night we all went for a family haircut from our friend Trish. She works at Jeffrey on Newbury St. The salon was so pretty and relaxing. While I was getting my haircut, and falling asleep, Elinor and Dave looked out the window and people watched. I bet she would've loved our old view in Salem too.

I never know what I want and always end up getting awful cuts at other places. Trish has cut my hair once before and always does exactly what I want but can't explain. Dave will only let me cut his hair for the last 5 years. I am no hairstylist. I don't know what I'm doing but if I want him to have short hair I have to do it. We convinced him it will be way better if he let Trish do it. After she finished I could tell right away that he loved it. I can't wait until we can take Elinor to Trish for her first haircut!
