zoo day

The only time Elinor has been to Stone Zoo was for ZooLights in December. Not many animals were out and it was mostly about the lights. Franklin Park is a lot better (I think) but Stone is much closer. Last time we went to Franklin Park was in November. She loved it but this time she knew animals and would make their sounds. She did not like the bird show! This kid is afraid of birds. Anytime one flew by she would jump and grab onto one of us.

The pig went to the bathroom right before this picture. Elinor pointed said "peepee!" then walked away with her stink eye.
After this picture, Dave told her to give the goat a kiss goodbye. She did...right on the mouth and the goat licked her back.
not into it

It was supposed to rain all day and it never did. Perfect and not crowded! I want to make another trip to Franklin Park soon. I need to remember to see if our library has any available free passes soon. I always forget to do that.
Does your library offer free/discount tickets to museums and zoos?

barn babies

Cambridge libraries are doing special event throughout the summer. One I knew we HAD to go to was to see the barn babies. They brought in different animals to learn about/play with. Dorie of course loved but so did Elinor and Henri. Dave came with us that day and was a huge help bringing the babies into each gated area to see the animals.
It was so hard to get pictures because of squirmy animals and babies. I did get a couple blurry ones on my phone though
goat!
Dorie getting puppy kisses and Henri trying to break in (he did get a turn in there but got a little too excited when he was up close with the puppy)
this little pig was wild! He was so happy to have friends visiting
 babies and puppies!
I missed what happened right before this but Dave said she giggling and softly touching the chicken

Russell Orchards

Friday we brought Elinor and Herni to Russell Orchards. We planned to go to Crane Beach after but we ended up staying longer than we thought we would. They both loved looking at the animals and playing in the grass.

It was lunch time and everyone was done

We sat at a picnic bench to eat and watched these guys try to get our food. I'm sure they got plenty of puffs.
