elimination communication

I had talked about Elinor going on the potty before but since then she goes every morning! Almost always poops and sometimes at night she will pee. Dorie still has her little potty out so I tried at work the other day while it wasn't hectic and it seemed like she had to go but she didn't.
I have a friend that has a baby 5 weeks older than Ellie and is pretty much completely out of diapers! You can read about her little guy HERE. I had heard about Elimination Communication but didn't think it would work for us. After talking to Brooke I decided to try it. I'm glad we did because if anything Elinor won't freak out when she's older and try to put her on the potty. I've worked with so many kids that were terrified of it.
While Courtney was in town, I got a video of her going. You can't see anything (not even the potty, her dress is covering it) but you can hear her go. You can also hear Dave saying "psssss" which is a cue to let her know it's ok to go and you can hear Courtney in the background confused why Dave is saying "psss".

Happy Easter Bunnies!

Yesterday we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. Of course being the day before Easter there was a huge line. We waited and Elinor was so happy to look at kids and smile and Daddy but when we were 3 people away from going she got mad and needed to eat. I put her back in the Ergo and fed her until it was our turn. I figured she would be so mad since I cut her off and then some random lady took her. Well look at what we got

 This is the one we bought from the mall. Every picture she was smiling so big. When the lady picked her up from the bunny she wouldn't give her back.

 Then we headed to target and some other places to run errands. She still was so happy to be out.

After being out for way longer than we thought we would be, we headed home.

 We've been trying a little bit of elimination communication. Last night she pee'd on the potty!!! I don't put her on the potty while I'm at work but we try mornings and nights. 

Today this big girl is 4 months! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I say that every month so far I think. Her next appointment is the 12th. I will update with her stats and 4 month pictures then.
