Happy Easter bunnies!

Yesterday we spent most the day outside. We really were not prepared for Easter. I forgot to put Elinor's basket together the night before. While Dave had her on the potty, I ran downstairs and threw everything in her basket. They came down the stairs and she was confused by her bunny basket sitting on the couch. I guess we didn't talk about Easter or baskets too much with her. Over the last few weeks I had picked up a box of chalk, a bubble wand, little play toys for her new pool and an Anna dress. Of course she put her dress on right away and wanted to go outside to try out her chalk and bubbles. Dave made us home fries and french toast for breakfast, which was delicious!
Dave's mom came over later to go on a walk with us. We live right near trails that we haven't explored too much. We walked down to a pretty section with cherry blossoms. We meant to just loop right back up to our house but took the wrong trail. We ended up way out of our way but we found some really cool spots. We were gone for a good 2 hours and I was so happy I remembered to grab the Ergo to backpack Elinor most of the walk.

Along with not being prepared, we didn't hide her eggs or even open the package to put candy in yet. When we got back from our walk, I quickly stuffed candy in her eggs and then Dave ran out back and hid them. She had so much fun finding them. I think she will be asking to play hide and seek with her Easter bunny eggs again. About half way through her search, an egg popped open and she realized there was candy inside. She dropped and starting opening every one of them. We told her there were more hidden so as she found the new ones, she opened them up and ate the treats. Good things we only put out 20 and only one piece in each.

Dave made sloppy joes with cashew avocado cream for dinner. We also had a little cake that Elinor and I picked up at Vegan Treats a few days ago. I was so incredibly stuffed after dinner, it was all so good! We finished off the day with watching Tangled and passing out early. We never got around to dying our plastic eggs but we can always save that for this week, right?

How was your Sunday?

Easter

We took Elinor to see the Easter bunny. When we got in line she kept waving and was so excited. When it was our turn and we started walking up she froze. The bunny tried to hand her an egg to draw her in but nope. We all ended up getting in the picture. She thought I was just putting her down and started to cry so you can see her red puffy eyes in the picture.

For Easter we didn't do much. Elinor woke up and we brought her in the living room to find her Easter basket. We had reused the Easter basket that Grandmom had gave her. We filled it with mostly her favorite snacks. We also got a couple of $1 gifts at Target. I had a few things I wanted to get her anyway for an upcoming trip and we threw those in there. Honestly we weren't going to make her a basket but started to feel guilty. I'm glad we did because she was so adorable, acting so excited at each item she pulled out.

After that I made carrot cake pancakes (yum!), opened the windows and were lazy all morning. After her nap we went on a walk to the beach. It was way colder than I thought it was going to be. She didn't care. She walked along the wall, holding Dave's hand and getting splashed by waves. It was a pretty good day.
She wore her pretty new dress from my parents until lunch. After lunch and nap she would only put on her Gabba shirt.

Happy Easter Bunnies!

Yesterday we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. Of course being the day before Easter there was a huge line. We waited and Elinor was so happy to look at kids and smile and Daddy but when we were 3 people away from going she got mad and needed to eat. I put her back in the Ergo and fed her until it was our turn. I figured she would be so mad since I cut her off and then some random lady took her. Well look at what we got
This is the one we bought from the mall. Every picture she was smiling so big. When the lady picked her up from the bunny she wouldn't give her back.
Pictures we took from the side
she got ears for being so good.

Then we headed to target and some other places to run errands. She still was so happy to be out.
Pretty vintage dress Amanda bought for her! Check out Amanda's etsy too!

After being out for way longer than we thought we would be, we headed home.
We've been trying a little bit of elimination communication. Last night she pee'd on the potty!!! I don't put her on the potty while I'm at work but we try mornings and nights.

Today this big girl is 4 months! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I say that every month so far I think. Her next appointment is the 12th. I will update with her stats and 4 month pictures then.
