The Adventures of Elinor and Daddy

Now that I have classes all weekend, Elinor and Dave will be spending a lot more time one on one. I'm so happy that they will have special time together. Whenever she starts to spend a little more time with him than me she starts to favor him which will bum me out a little. He is a lot more fun than me though so I can't blame her.

Last Saturday he took her to the Penn Museum for some Chinese new year celebrations. Since he was born in the year of the horse and she is 2, they both got in free for the day! He said that she really liked the traditional dancing and music demonstrations, but was afraid when it came time for the dragon dance and loud drumming that went with it.  She just recently started being nervous about random things.

On Sunday, he took her to Longwood Gardens. They spent most their time in the conservatory. There is a children's section with water play and I heard she soaked herself and made a new friend. Sounds like a great day! After Longwood, Dave dropped her off at pop pops and came to take a power yoga class with me. It was his first class but he liked it. He better get used to it since I need to practice my teaching on him every night.

Maybe next week I can get Dave to write about their weekend adventures.

  2. I love daddy/kid time… I'll admit, he doesn't always do things my way, but the kids always have (more) fun ;)

  6. Gorgeous! I am a nurse and would work on the weekend so the kids would have "daddy - kids" day. It is one of the best things we ever did. They need that one on one time with their dads! (and you're right, they are much more fun:/)
