Sahl father son farm

This weekend we were invited to Sahl Father Son Farm for pumpkin picking, corn mazing and more.

Sahl Farm is in Egg Harbor, NJ. I've never been there but it is only a hour away and a pretty drive especially with all the changing trees right now. It's a family run farm with the nicest family. Even their kids were running around helping out here and there.

There was a little hay maze for little kids to run through. I can't even tell you how many times Elinor did this maze. I figured the first time through she would end up just climbing over the hay but she didn't! She worked around the maze until finding the exit. She saw the 3 corn mazes after. She ran straight into the middle level. We let her go and just followed closely behind. We ended up having to turn around and come out the entrance. We didn't have a map and following a 2 yr old wasn't a good idea. The beginner level worked out a lot better.

There was so many activities around and everything is right in the same area. Your kids can run around and play in all directions and you can still see them. I saw it happen! As I talked with jersey family fun bloggers I watched Elinor play on a dirt hill and in the corn barn. There is also a frisbee game, racing pigs, racing plastic ducks down a water pump and more! I felt sad about the racing pigs when we first got there. But then we saw a race happen. The owner gave the pigs a treat and then put the rest of the treat on the other end of a small circle. He would let them go and they just ran to get the rest of their snack. Plus those little guys were so so cute.

The last thing to do was pick pumpkins. We got on the tractor hay ride and went out into the field. Elinor only wanted tiny so cute pumpkins. She's into everything being tiny and so cute right now. We convinced her to find a bigger pumpkin for now.

father's day

yep...just now getting around to these pictures. For Father's Day we went to Davis Farmland. We love that place. It's a bummer that now Elinor can actually play and enjoy all parts of the farm, we move. They had special Father's day events like a free massage for dad and all dads were free that day. 

We started off playing and feeding the animals. Elinor was having so much fun until a goat bit her little fingers while she was feeding him. She was so sad and didn't want to be put down for awhile. Then she saw the baby goats and was ready to go again. 

Last year we went to the water park side but she was too little and not even crawling yet. She had a lot more fun this year! She didn't know what to think of the bubble pit.

It was a little chilly so we finished up quickly playing with water and went to one of the playgrounds. I'm telling you, this place is the best! We didn't even make it to the other playground. There is also a bouncy house.

Davis Farm

Wow I am so behind! I have so many pictures/videos I need to post.

Last Monday we took all the kids to the farm. It is so much fun bringing the babies places now since Henri can crawl and Elinor can sit. I felt guilty before bringing Dorie places and keeping them in the stroller the whole time. Davis farm is amazing! I was waiting with the stroller outside a gated area the Dave and Dorie went into, a worker came over and told me I can go in any area with the stroller. They are all so helpful and friendly there.

 Ellie was in the front seat until this cow bit her toe. She didn't cry but when she saw him again afterwards she cried so her and Henri switched spots
