Last day of vacation

On the day we left we just spent some time with my parents...and eating. We thought about maybe going to a park but decided to just stay at the house. It was a good idea. I wanted Elinor to have some play time and normal nap before we got on the plane.

weekend in Philly

We had left Thursday after Elinor's Dr appointment. Since her first set of shots she had just slept more I thought we would be good driving right after. Well this time she just wanted to cry and eat. It made for an interesting ride (me leaning over the carseat to feed her). Friday morning she was a little better and we headed to the city for the day for some shopping and lots of eating. 

As we were leaving we realized we lost Sophie. So we had to make a trip to Babies R us. I also picked up some teething tablets which kind of seem to work. Between the shots and teething she had a couple of melt downs.

Saturday, while Dave was at practice, we went with Dave's mom to see cousin Joey's baseball game. She watched a lot of it just sitting in in our laps.

By Sunday she was completely back to herself. We spent some time with Grandma then ran some errands before going to Grandpas.

I'm glad we can make trips to visit pretty often. I'm so sad we can't visit my family as much. I realized during this trip that Elinor hasn't met any of her McCormick cousins. I hope to make a trip to Ohio as soon as we can to visit. It's so hard finding time that works for everyone. Someday we will!

Ruby's birthday

Last Saturday we went out to eat for little miss Ruby's 4th birthday! We went to Flatbread which we have never been to before. I'm now a big fan. They even had a vegan pizza full of yummy veggies. I stole most of these pictures from Justine...thanks Justine!

Florida part 3

This day we went to Downtown Disney with my parents. They had been going golfing while we went to the parks. We shopped and ate more treats from Babycakes. Earlier that day we went to the outlet mall and Elinor got a new hat. The sun hat I brought from home was way too big. This one probably won't fit for long but it was just too cute!

It was my parents anniversary so my mom had some minnie ears with a veil. We had to get a picture of her and Elinor with both of their ears on.

Florida part 1

The flight to Florida went really well. She ate right before take off because I couldn't hold her off anymore but the she passed out and slept most of the flight. She woke up half way so happy! She smiled at everyone and everything. Right before we were landing she was getting a little bored and ready to eat. I nursed her as we were landing. She was perfect until we met up with my parents and got in the car. She screamed the entire way to the resort. Sorry Dad!

I was worried she wouldn't sleep good that night but did great. It was so nice waking up feeding her and then handing her off for some grandparents time. The first morning we went for a walk around the resort so my parents could show us where everything was. Later we took a bus to Magic Kingdom.

We found out a week before we left that Dorie's family were in Orlando while we were going to be there! So we made plans to meet up with them there. It was so fun hanging out with them and seeing everything through a 4 year olds eyes.

I thought we would have to skip a bunch of rides but we actually were able to go on every ride we wanted with Elinor. Except the peter pan ride because it was always the longest wait!
