girls weekend

Dave was in Texas for the weekend playing a show. It was super rainy and gross out Saturday and then Sunday we were being lazy so we ended up never leaving the house. I finally got a ton of laundry and cleaning done though! We also ate a lot.

 I made a wrap with hummus. peppers and sprouts. She stole a pepper and some hummus. She liked the hummus. 

I gave her a slice of my veggie burger. She liked it but since it's so crumbly too much kept breaking off in her mouth but she worked it out!

At one point she kept looking at the door and looking behind me. I texted Dave to tell him I think she is looking for him. He sent a picture of himself so I could show her. She started smiling as soon as she saw him. I went out of the picture to tell him and she started screaming. She was so mad I took him away. He finally was around some wireless and facetimed us for a couple of minutes. Her face was so cute. She just lit up and smiled and giggled. Elinor loves her Daddy!

Lynn, Garvey and Pete came over early to the shower to set up. Lynn made some delicious cupcakes and snacks too. I thought we got a bunch of pictures but not so many and none of anyone who was there! oops. It was so much fun though. We are so grateful for such amazing friends.

 Dorie was a big helper opening and handing me gifts. She was so hilarious pretending to read the cards then handing them to me and getting excited for each gift.

this week baby got her first package addresses to her! I was so excited about it

We got so many amazing gifts. We went into her room after everyone left and went through everything again and couldn't believe how good our friends are to us. Lynn even crocheted us a blanket. When she found out I was pregnant she started it. She is the best! 

I finished washing everything yesterday. I even put the bundleme in the carseat and put it by the door. I tried to pack a bag but it didn't work. I got baby's stuff together but when it comes to my stuff I don't know what I need. I've read the lists, I just don't want to put things I may need in the bag yet. At least we live pretty close to the hospital so Dave can always run home if I forget something. 

Today is the first day of November which means my birthday is so soon. This year I'm looking forward to getting my belated bday gift more then anything. Or if she decides to come early that's ok too!

 Dinner at Veggie Galaxy. greek salad, glazed seitan loaf, banana split, boston cream pie (not pictured pb and chocolate frappe that our friend got but we tried and it was amazing! I will be getting a frappe next time) 

 vegan lasagna. We used to make it a lot last year but forgot about it. It is super easy to make. 

 peanut butter cookie dough balls. These are THE BEST vegan cookies I've ever made. Sadly these guys are already gone and I already want more. Maybe this weekend... 

 Last night we made pizza again! This time with smart deli pepperoni and onions

I have so many tabs open right now with things I want to make. I need to start printing these recipes out and adding them into my folder. I'm always afraid when I go back to a saved one that it will be gone. 

This Wednesday was my dads birthday. Even though I already told him I still want to tell him on here..

Getting a late start on my Friday post today, it was a crazy day. I had a Dr's appointment this morning which seems like days ago. Then I got to hangout with the little Sterlings which is always fun. Hopefully this weekend is laid back. We have some cleaning around the house to do but that is about it!

This is the first time I'm opening my computer today! Busy busy day today and I'm so happy it's the weekend so I can chill out a little. We don't have many plans for this weekend which is good because I think it's supposed to rain. Hopefully we can schedule to take maternity pics with our friend Zac Wolf soon!

Right now it is 55 out! But it is super windy and just started raining. When will it just be nice out?!

Yesterday we went up the street to the beach to take pictures. After we got home I decided I didn't like my shirt tucked in at all. So I had Dave take one more of just my shirt because it is cute.

Since Dave is on his liquid mushy diet until his mouth heals I have been having the worst luck with dinners. I picked up some one serving meals at whole foods but everything was pretty tasteless. Peanut butter and jelly has been my go to meal. I feel too bad if I were to make a big good dinner in front of Dave since he is dying to eat something with substance. Hopefully soon we will be able to get back to making yummy dinners again. We did make an awesome milk shake last night! He had found some accidental vegan peppermint patties the other day. Since he hasn't been able to eat them I mixed them in with his coconut milk vanilla shake! I'm craving one now!
