I can't catch a break! I had a cold last week and this week I had the flu. No fair! Luckily my parents are in town and could help with Elinor since Dave is traveling again. I feel really bad that they have been stuck inside for days and taking care of me and Elinor. But also I don't know what I would have done if they weren't here.

I'm feeling better today and hoping to get outside in the sun for just a little bit. Maybe even do a light flow of yoga. It's been days and my body is aching and needs to stretch. Elinor has been back to being wild again. We can usually calm her down but lately she is just everywhere. We happened to check her height the other day and think that might have something to do with how she has been.

Her poor little body was growing so fast and she was probably in pain! Her eating has slowed down now so maybe she will get a break.

Disney

Ok, I promise this is my last Disney post. We had a ton of iphone pics that I wanted to share with my family and anyone else who is interested...

Elinor loved spending time with her mamoo and papa. The day we checked out they left before we were up. As soon as Elinor woke up, she ran out of our room yelling "Mamoo..Papa!!!". When they weren't there she pouted.

 The resort we stayed is so nice. There are multiple pools and lazy rivers. We took Elinor to the kids play area with a little pool and spray features. She made friends with some little girls and they let her use their floats and toys.

 Downtown Disney is so much fun! There is a lot to see and do without spending money. The lego store has awesome lego buzz and woody, snow white, hulk and a ton more to take your picture with. There are also little lego tables set up for kids to build. Even little tables with the bigger legos for Elinor's size.

 We wouldn't have spent much money there if it wasn't for BabyCakes. A vegan bakery right inside a chicken restaurant?? It doesn't matter because everything we got from there was delicious! Especially the chocolate chip cookies and brownie cupcake.

day one

First let me tell you how much I dislike the blogger app....I've written this post multiple times on my phone and each time it disappeared . GRRRRR..ANYWAY...

Elinor's first flight was to Florida when she was just a few months old

We made it to Florida! Elinor was such a great little traveler for our flights. She has flown quite a few times in her life but this is the first time she actually understood what was going to happen. "Ellie fly in plane? up in sky?" with little arm flaps each time.

When we made it to the hotel, we were greeted by "mamoo and papa" (my parents). We don't see them often but with Facetime and phone calls, Elinor acted like she saw them yesterday. She is just so excited to have more people around to cheer on everything she does :)

Papa bought her a Minnie. She gasped when he gave it to her and held it tight, rocking back and forth with her eyes closed. She is too funny.

We don't have set plans for our week. Right now we are sitting in bed with Elinor sleeping in between us and trying to decide what to do tomorrow. We are poor planners. Our one plan is to go to Magic Kingdom on Halloween. We are excited for warmer weather and fun!



 

Tennessee

Dave had to go to Russia to play some shows so Elinor and I went to Tennessee to visit my parents. They had bought a house there awhile ago but finally retired and made the move.

My dad picked us up from the airport. He held Elinor and she snuggled up on his shoulder right away. We facetime with them just about everyday but I didn't think she would make the connection. Their house is amazing. It's something that I wish we can find, big and open. They are in the mountains with nothing but woods all around them. When we got out of the car and I looked up, the sky was full of stars. I forgot that the night sky can even look like that! I didn't bring our real camera since I already had so many things with me. I wish I did but hopefully Dave can get some free time and we can go back.

Our first day there my parents showed us around. There are trails that go everywhere. They have access to the lake, pools, community center for the indoor pool and basketball court, playgrounds, golf courses and more. Everything is so close unless you need to go to a grocery store.

Elinor and their new puppy Toby became buddies right away. He was so good with her but as the days went on my sneaky daughter would push her toys or food into his mouth and then look at her papa to yell at him. Then she would laugh and laugh. Oh that little girl!

She loves her "papa" and "mum". I wish we could be close enough for weekend trips.
